SOLA SOCKS are a classic sock knitted from the top down. The upper part is knitted in twisted rib, followed by an elegant rib structure that continues from the shaft down over the upper part of the foot.
If you want a slightly less advanced project, a regular long-tail cast-on can replace the Italian cast-on. Just take care not to cast on too tightly.
Sizes
EU shoe sizes: 35-36 (37-38) 39-40 (41-42) 43-44 (45-46)
SOLA SOCKS are worked in two circumferences around the leg and foot. Sizes 35-40 have the same number of stitches and thus the same circumference, and sizes 41-46 have 8 more stitches than that. If you’re a size 42 but have a narrow foot, you can knit a size 39-40 in the pattern but make the foot of the sock longer.

4 mm double-pointed needles or a 4 mm, 80 cm circular needle (if you’re using the Magic Loop technique)
Gauge
24 sts x 32 rows in PATTERN on a 4 mm needle = 10 x 10 cm
